About the Position

Svenska kraftnät is one of the key players in a sustainable energy transition. We are now looking for a project manager for one of Sweden's most important development jobs, where you will contribute to Sweden's electricity supply every day.

In the System division, we work at a high level to design the electricity market, develop, and operate the power system. We are part of finding the answers to the climate transition and creating prosperity for the entire society.

As a project manager with us, you will drive development and implementation projects that are directly linked to enabling the future power system. This involves managing new technical challenges, increased demands, complexity, and digitalization - while ensuring continued high operational reliability. The projects, programs, and assignments often encompass the entire chain from feasibility study to implementation. You are responsible for driving the work forward towards set goals within given time and cost frames, as well as reporting to steering and management groups. The role also involves representing the project in dialogue with national and international industry stakeholders, authorities, and our counterparts in other countries.

We are looking for a senior project manager for our Operations Project Management unit. The unit currently consists of 12 engaged employees and consultants of various ages and with an even gender distribution. Our unit is responsible for leading and driving development projects and assignments that strengthen and support the operational management of the power grid. We staff the projects with project managers and also complement with change leaders, assignment leaders, requirements leaders, administrators, and schedulers as needed. About You

Mandatory Requirements:

We are looking for someone who is results-oriented and has the ability to drive projects forward towards set goals. You create engagement and ensure that deliveries occur according to plan, time, and budget. You have a strong analytical ability that allows you to identify risks, prioritize correctly, and make well-founded decisions even in complex situations. The role requires you to be collaborative, as you lead projects and create good relationships with stakeholders to achieve common goals. Additionally, you are structured and work methodically with planning, follow-up, and documentation to create clarity and security in all phases of the project. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

You have an academic degree in a relevant field such as engineering, economics, or IT, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät deems relevant. You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.

You have at least eight years of experience in project management, of which at least five years in projects with large scope, complexity, budget, and responsibility, as well as experience acting at a strategic level.
You have experience implementing business-critical IT systems.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience of:

project management in operations closely linked to maintenance and management, preferably with SCADA or SCADA/EMS systems
working with classified information or in operations with special security requirements
relevant experience from the energy sector and a good understanding of the Nordic power system's structure and operation.
leading change work in larger organizations
implementing regulations
certification in project management according to IPMA, PMI, or equivalent.
